4 days from Fes to Merzouga Desert
Tour F4: Fes - Toudgha Gorges - Tinghir - Erfoud - M erzouga - Fes
Day 1: Fes- Midelt- Azrou- Toudgha Gorges
At 8:00 am, our driver will pick you up after having breakfast. You leave Fes passing through Ifrane City (you’ll be discovering one of the typical cities for both its cold weather throughout the year and distinctive architecture), and then we stop at a cedar forest of Azrou (apes habitat ) as well as enjoying the wilderness landscape along the way . Lunch will take place in Midelt city which is known of apples. Afterwards we continue our way through the middle atlas mountains to Rich town. As soon as leaving Rich town there is a sequent of berber villages scattered around before we get to Todgha Gorges by the evening.First night in a hotel.
Day 2 : Toudgha Gorges – Tinghir –Tinjdad- Erfoud - Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, we will have free time to walk to enjoy the incredible view of gorges and the river that runs abundantly, and then we will pass through many Berber villages till we get to Tinjdad where we’re gonna have lunch. The subsequent stop is much interesting for it will be at the Berber shop where you can get your turbans, along with souvenirs. Afterward, we head to Merzouga Sahara desert, and then we will go our way directly to the hotel in Merzouga.
Day 3: Tour around Erg Chebbi Desert by 4x4 - Merzouga (camel ride and night in desert camp)
Today we will have a small tour around Erg-Chebbi sand dunes, we will start our off-road desert adventure by visiting a village of the dark skin people (Khamlia village), they are of various African origins. They got a band composed of 5 or more
people playing Gnawa music by different instruments. In that village, we’re going to have lunch (Berber Pizza). Then our destination will be in the village of the mines, along with the local nomadic Berber families who still live in the desert, and then we drive to the black desert (volcanic stones). We will go back to Merzouga to take an hour quad bike drive on the dunes, and then you’ll be carried by camels to an equipped camp in the middle of golden dunes that is flattering to both sunset and After enjoying the sunrise, having a lovely breakfast and shower, you will be carried by camels back to Merzouga village where your driver will be waiting for you to depart from Merzouga village sunrise views. Then you will go on foot to the top of a high sand dune for sandboarding and see the sunset. Dinner is served inside a Berber tent. During the night, there is a band drumming around a lit fire.
Day 4: Merzouga - Fes
There are a lot of natural landscapes to discover on our last day including , Ziz Valley , Middle Atlas Mountains , El Hassan Dakhil Dam which is located directly after Errachidia city. We continue our road to Midelt city, where we will have lunch, and then we head to cedar forest (apes habitat) to see monkeys in a striking environment. Finally, we go our way straight to Ifrane City then Fes City.
