3 days from Fes to Merzouga desert and Marrakech

Tour F2: Fes - Ziz Valley - Merzouga - Todgha Gorges- Dades Valley - Kalaat Magouna - Ouarzazate - Marrakech

Day 1: fes - Ifran - Midelt - Ziz gorges - Erfoud - Merzouga :

After breakfast, we will pick you up at 08:00 am from your riad/hotel. Then drive south to Ifran and Azrou forest through the middle Atlas Mountains. On the way, we will stop at the cedar forest to see the Barbarian apes in their natural habitat. Then we go to Midelt, the city of apples. We have lunch and we go through the Tizi-Ntalghemt and along the magnificent Ziz Gorges carved through the volcanic rocks and the Ziz valley to Erfoud and Merzouga. After we arrive in the desert and drink a glass of mint tea, we' ll leave the luggage in a safe room then we take a camel ride to a Berber camp. The camel trek takes about 1h 30m from the camp. The tents are well equipped with mattresses, blankets, and cushions. After dinner, we will gather around the fire and enjoy the sound of traditional Berber drums under a billion stars in the sky.

Day 2: Merzouga - Todgha gorges - Dades valley :

We will wake you up early to enjoy a magnificent sunrise then take a camel ride back to the hotel. After breakfast and shower, we will leave the desert to Tinghir and Todgha gorges, the water canyon and the first destination in Morocco for mountaineering enthusiasts. And after lunch there we will drive directly to Dades valley where we will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 3: Dades valley - Kalaat Magouna - Ouarzazat - Ait Ben Haddou kasbah - high Atlas mountains - Marrakech :

After breakfast, we will drive through Dades valley towards Kalaat Magouna, the roses city where we can see the roses valley from where they pick up the roses. Then we go visit the roses co-operatives to see how they produce various roses products like shampooing, perfume, massage, etc… and then we continue to Ouarzazate, the Hollywood of Africa. Lunch is at the famous Ait Ben Haddou kasbah, the UNESCO world heritage site since 1987. La Kasbah is surrounded by a protective high thick wall against external attacks with many towers in. After visiting this kasbah our journey will continue through the majestic Tizi-Ntishka pass, reaching an altitude of 2260m over the high Atlas mountains. We will stop to enjoy the impressive views and visit the argan oil co-operative. We will arrive in Marrakech late afternoon.
