3 days tour from Marrakech to Merzougua desert and then Fes city

Tour M2: Marrakech - Dades - Merzouga - Fes

Day 1 : Marrakech high Atlas – Ait Benhadou – Ouarzazate – Kallat Magouna – Dades Valley

I will pick you up at 8:00 am. We will start our journey by travelling across Tizi-N-Tishka atlas pass (2260m) with amazing views across the mountains to visit the UNESCO world heritage site “ Ait Ben Hadou Kasbah “, Kasbah is surrounded by a protective high thick wall against external attacks with many towers in. We have lunch there, and then we drive to the city of roses: Kalaat Magouna. We cross the rose valley and make a stop at roses cooperative to see how they produce various products from roses like shampoo, soap, and perfume. Then we continue to Dades Gorges where we spend the night in a riad / hotel.

Day 2 : Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzougua Desert

After breakfast, our journey will start at 8:00 am, Berber villages are scattered along the way. The first destination will be to Todra Gorges; it’s a water canyon. This will be the first destination to Morocco mountaineering enthusiasts, then we move to have lunch in Tinjdad Town. After lunch we drive and make a very important stop at the Berber shop so that you get your turbans. Afterward we head directly through Erfoud city (desert gateway) to the Sahara Desert of Merzougua, where you will be taken by camels on an adventure over the sand dunes. You will spend the night in an equipped camp with traditional Berber music of Sahara. Those sand dunes magically flatter both the sunset and the sunrise.

Day 3 : Merzougua – Erfood – Ziz Gorges – Midelt – Monkey Cedar Forest – Ifrane – Fes city

You will wake up early to enjoy a magnificent sunrise, and then take a camel ride back to the hotel where you are having breakfast and taking a shower then we will leave the desert to Erfoud Town: the original place of fossils industry. If you are interested we can have a stop at the museum of fossils to have some pieces of information about fossils, otherwise we continue through the Ziz Valley to the fabulous Ziz Gorges that were formed by volcanoes until we get to Midelt city to have lunch, the city is well known for apples. Then we go our way to stop again at the cedar forests in order to see the barbarian apes in their natural habitat. Then we drive north to Ifrane city which is considered among the cleanest cities, which has a royal palace. It’s called the Switzerland of Morocco due to its alpine architecture roofs. Finally, we will head to Fes city to your accommodation.
